ArtAwake is a yearly festival that celebrates bringing together the art of the Rochester community for a music, art & dance festival, previously taking place in abandoned spaces. You may recall that ArtAwake 2017 ran in Rettner Hall. ArtAwake 2018 is currently seeking candidates for the upcoming year. The current board of directors is currently seeking someone with a good attitude, great communication & email skills and a motivation to apply time towards a large event! Senior Thesis Exhibitions: Alex Cunningham, Jennifer Christakos, Bri Landwersiek - opening reception
Throughout April, the Yards will be showcasing the work of three senior studio arts majors graduating from the University of Rochester in May. Each senior has the liberty to base her show on the topics and mediums of her choosing. This show represents the hard work and dedication put forth by each of these artists as their academic career comes to a close and they confront the reality of what it means to be a professional artist in today’s society.
